1. WHAT DOES PRIVATE LABELING MEAN; AND, IS PRIVATE LABEL PRODUCTS A WHOLESALE COMPANY?
Private Label Products manufactures wholesale and private label bath, body, beauty, salon, spa, cosmedical, home and pet products.
Private Labeling means that we put your logo, likeness, proprietary information, sales and contact information, etc., on our products. We become your manufacturer. You distribute, sell and market your own brand(s). We are as turnkey as you want us to be. You can order finished goods or back bar (gallons/pallets). Our clients range from Retailers to Wholesalers of Wholesale. We also do contract manufacturing and reverse engineering.
2. HOW DO I SET UP A WHOLESALE ACCOUNT?
If you have never ordered with us, you will need to set up a wholesale account. All we need is your Sales & Use Tax number. If you are
not tax exempt you can still order from us; but, we will have to charge you Georgia State Tax (currently 7%).
3. WHAT ARE MOQ'S (ORDER MINIMUMS)?
First time order minimum is $1,000. Reorders are only $250. MOQ's are 24 per product, per container, per fragrance or flavor. You will be hard pressed to find lower minimums in our industry. We serve customers...from craft fair vendors to Amazon/Etsy sellers to big box stores to shopping networks that showcase celebrities and athletes. We believe we are the oldest private label bath, body, beauty, salon, spa and cosmedical product manufacturer in the country because we work with every sized budget.
4. CAN I ORDER ONLINE?
Because everything we do is custom, you cannot order online. We will need to talk you through packaging options, graphics, labels, etc. Don't be intimidated by the vast selection of our product/fragrance/flavor choices. The process is simple and fun. We are professionals at helping you every step of the way. Whether you know exactly what you're looking for or haven't a clue, all it takes is a simple phone call to
get started. Due to the amount of orders we receive, after phone/personal consultation, all orders must be submitted in writing (preferably with a purchase order).
(Reorders can be emailed as long as they are thorough and complete - without any graphics, billing or shipping changes.)
5. WHEN WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE?
New clients can expect to have their products ship in 6 - 8 weeks (domestically) after graphic/label approvals. Orders are produced in the order that they are received. Please be advised that it can take up to 2 weeks between the order and your first consult with a graphic artist. We utilize this time schedule to make sure you have one-of-a-kind artwork. Reorders of products generally ship within 4 weeks (based on quantities and any art changes. If you order or reorder during peak seasons (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day) there could be delays in artwork and shipping. We hope you understand the need for production time. All of our products, with the exception of our Organic Lip Butter Balms, are made fresh to order. This guarantees you optimal shelf life for every product. It is this approach to freshness that has made us a global force in bath and body.
(If you will research, you will find that our competitors call for much longer wait times. Most average 90 days -16 weeks. Your product production will begin once the order is paid, all graphics have been approved; and, if you are providing your own bottles/jars/containers, when we have all of the components required for your project (on site in our facility).
6. WHERE CAN I SEE A FULL LISTING OF YOUR PRODUCTS?
You can call 478.475.0039 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a digital catalog. The catalog is updated quarterly with new products, fragrances and flavors. We do not put every product we manufacture on the website or in our catalog (as we do a tremendous amount of contract manufacturing). Currently we have over 100,000 skus. We do not want to confuse our clients. If you do not see a product/fragrance/ flavor you'd like, listed in our General Catalog, please call us. There is a great possibility that we do have what you're looking for.
7. MAY I RENAME YOUR PRODUCTS, FRAGRANCES AND FLAVORS?
You may rename any of our products/fragrances/flavors as long as the name you choose is not trademarked.
8. WHAT IF I WANT A SIGNATURE FRAGRANCE?
We have always considered ourselves a fragrance house (even if that fragrance is an essential oil). We have created dynamic, signature fragrances that have proven to be commercial blockbusters. Have something specific in mind? We can bring it to life. Don't know exactly what you want? We can help you find it. There is no limit to the sensory experience we can help you create. (Creation costs, minimum orders and exclusivity rights may apply.)
9. DO YOU SELL YOUR FRAGRANCES?
Whether or not you order private labeled or wholesale products from us, you may order our fragrances (by the pound, 5-lbs, 10-lbs, 25-lbs, 35-lbs, 50-lbs, etc.). Price breaks are at 35-lbs (per fragrance).
10. ARE YOUR FRAGRANCE OILS PHTHALATE FREE?
Absolutely! And, we not only have fragrance oils, but essential oils and essential oil blends.
11. DO YOU DO CONTRACT MANUFACTURING?
Quality contract manufacturing has always been a large part of our business. We can work with any specialty formulations or fragrances to create anything you need. (Contract manufacturing fees, minimums, timelines, testing and exclusivity rights apply.)
12. WHAT ARE MY PACKAGING/CONTAINER/LABEL OPTIONS?
Packaging/Container and Label Options are as varied as your imagination and budget. Ninety percent of our clients utilize our in-house packaging because of the popular trends and wonderful markups they offer. If you want containers other than what we carry, we will help you find perfect ones to suit your needs. Also, if you currently have containers you love, we are happy to quote you to fill and label them.
13. DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
We ship all over the world, but request that you do your due diligence for the receiving country for their dossier, custom and commerce requirements. This is your responsibility as the importer. We are not responsible for duties or taxes.
14. DO YOU DIRECT/BLIND SHIP?
We can direct/blind ship orders over $500 (to one location). We work with Amazon Fulfillment on a case by case basis.
15. WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Currently we accept all major credit cards, PayPal, bank wires and checks. If paying by check, the order will be processed once the check has cleared. A 2.5% charge will be added for PayPal and Credit Card transactions.
16. DO YOU OFFER SAMPLES OF YOUR PRODUCTS/PACKAGING?
Of course. We want you to rest assured that you will love what you're getting from us. All of our products and standard packaging options are available for sample purchase. Because every client has different needs, please call or email us so that we can put the perfect sample box together for you. Price is determined by the amount and sizes of samples purchased plus tax (if applicable) and shipping. (Samples are filled, by hand, and we take just as many sample orders as regular orders, so please allow at least 2 weeks for sample completion before shipping.)
17. WHAT ABOUT ARTWORK? If you currently have a (camera ready) high resolution logo, there is one time setup charge of $40. For logo designs or changes to pre-existing art, there will be a $75/hr design/redesign charge (billed in half hour increments). If you already have a logo/artwork, please see our Art Page for details of how to submit it to us. If you are designing your own labels, please contact us for label templates.
We do not do artwork/print labels outside of our product line.
18. ARE ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS MADE IN THE USA?
You bet. Our products are made in our factory in Gray, GA.
19. DO YOU TEST ON ANIMALS?
With the exception of our new Hypo-Allergenic Pet Shampoo (that's human mom approved), we never test anything on animals. Fowl, fish and fur babies are our friends.
20. ARE YOU A FAIR TRADE COMPANY?
We source all of our raw ingredients from Fair Trade countries/sources only. We are proud to be a part of the movement that empowers developing nations, communities, farmers and workers to guarantee them fair wages, good working conditions, health care, education and sustainable methods of farming and manufacturing.
21. ARE ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS ORGANIC?
In bath and body product manufacturing and distribution, anyone can use the word "organic." There is no global or American governing body to test, much less govern, exactly what organic means. For example, our butters and oils are cold-pressed (organic/virgin); however, if you request color or fragrance (non-essential oil) in your products, although both are deemed body safe, we do not feel comfortable calling
those products organic. We opt for All Natural finished products (where applicable). We believe in full disclosure. That said, with the exception of fragrance or color (where requested), our products range from mostly natural to "as organic as it gets." As a manufacturer, we do add preservatives (the safest ones on the market) to guarantee a sustainable shelf life.
22. SHIPPING/STORING/SHELF LIFE OF PRODUCTS:
All products (with the exception of our Lip Butter Balms) are made fresh at the time of order. We do this to give your product the longest possible shelf life. Shelf life varies from 3 months for Bath Bombs to 5 years for Bar Soap. Things you can do to protect your product is to keep it in a temperature controlled area and out of direct sunlight. Avoid putting products in storefront windows. During shipping, temperature variations may cause body butters to separate (after all they are butters). Once they return to room temperature, the consistency/appearance may change slightly. This in no way compromises the wonderful benefits of the product(s).
23. WHAT CLASSIFICATIONS DO YOUR PRODUCTS CARRY?
All of our products are Phthalate-, Paraben-, Mineral Oil-, Petroleum-, Sulfate- and Gluten-Free. With the exception of our Goat's Milk Bar Soap and Lip Scrubs our products are also Vegan. We will never be a completely vegan facility. The health benefits of the lactic acid, vitamins and minerals in goat's milk and the healing power of honey far outweigh any reservations we might have about using those all natural ingredients in certain products.

24. CAN YOUR PRODUCTS BE MADE WITH ESSENTIAL OILS INSTEAD OF FRAGRANCE OILS?
All of our products may substitute essential oils for fragrance oils. Prices vary according to product and essential oil selections. (On average, however, prices are much higher.) Be sure your clientele truly understands (and will pay) the difference.
25. I SEE YOU CARRY THINGS LIKE ECZEMA BODY BUTTER. AREN'T THERE FDA REGULATIONS ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN ADVERTISE ABOUT THOSE TYPES OF PRODUCTS?
Good question. The FDA cannot stop you from naming a product Eczema Body Butter as long as you do not make specific or implied medical claims of healing, etc. As you purchase these types of products, we will walk you through how to label and market them. I strongly suggest that you place this medical disclaimer on your website/internet storefront/marketing, etc.

27. DO YOU HOLD ANY CERTIFICATIONS?
We are not (yet) a cosmetics company. There are no required certifications for us to hold until we become one.
28. DO YOU PROVIDE COA SHEETS FOR YOUR PRODUCTS?
Yes we do. Due to the volume of personal requests due to Amazon Fulfillment, please allow 2 weeks for paperwork to arrive.
29. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
On Private Label & Custom orders, we do not accept returns unless Private Label Products did not deliver previously agreed upon items. If there has been any damage in shipping, please take appropriate photos and call 478.475.0039. There is a window of 48 hours for discrepancies and damaged goods to be reported (if it happens on a Friday, you may alert us on Monday).
30. WHAT MARKETING SERVICES DO YOU CURRENTLY OFFER?
Currently we have a wait list for clients wanting our services for copywriting, blogging, Facebook posting and Etsy SEO writing. This part of our business is booming and we want to only take on clients as we know we can serve them above and beyond expectations. 31. WHAT TYPES OF SALES TRAINING DO YOU OFFER?
You will always be able to reach us by phone. This is our promise. If you have a question please reach out to us. Rest assured we will teach you and your sales/marketing team the essential basics of what makes our products amazing. Beyond (thorough) beginning training, hourly rates apply for intermediate and advanced training. On-site training/speaking is also available (travel, lodging and other fees apply).
32. CAN I TOUR THE FACILITY?
We hold Non-Disclosure agreements with all of our customers and honor their privacy, so we are not at liberty to offer client visitations where production and labeling is located. You are welcome to make an appointment for a meeting in our offices.
33. WHAT BRAND NAMES DO YOU MANUFACTURE?
We do not disclose our customer names or brands. You will find many of our client's wholesale, retail and spa products in international, national and regional stores, salons, spas and boutiques all over the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Australia. We also supply product for several shop-at-home network shows.
34. CAN YOU MANUFACTURE CUSTOM FORMULATIONS?
Our Private Label Products Lab can provide R & D for custom formulation. The fee for research and development is based on the product/minimums. Once you have approved a formula, it is then sent to Testing (Testing fees are required).
Reverse Engineering is not a quick turnaround option. A complete and true custom formulation and testing can take up to 12 months to finalize. Beginning fees for reverse engineering and formulation begin at $15,000.
35. CAN YOU DUPLICATE PRODUCTS AND FRAGRANCES OF ANOTHER COMPANY?
This is evaluated on a case by case basis. If we accept the contract, we will need a 4 oz. sample of the product along with the ingredient deck. It will not necessarily be a true reverse formulation (meaning we cannot guarantee exact ingredient concentration); but, we can do a method of figuring out the formula based on the sample and ingredient list.
Who owns the formula once a custom formula has been developed?
The formula will remain under Private Label Product's ownership. For those interested in purchasing the formula we create for them, the cost of the formula is set when the product is approved and the formula confirmed. The price will depend upon the complexity and marketability of the formula.
Will my custom formula be manufactured for someone else?
Once we complete the research and development of a custom formula, we will only manufacture the formula for the customer who commissioned and/or owns the formula.
Will you keep my product idea(s) confidential?
Absolutely. Every client's products and product ideas are kept confidential. Without explicit consent from our clients, any information given to us is treated as confidential and is not shared. We do not share lists with companies or disclose any information related to your business with us to anyone.
36. I HAVE SUBMITTED MY PURCHASE ORDER AND NEED TO MAKE CHANGES. CAN I?
When a customer has submitted a P.O., no changes should be made, as processes would already be in the works. If a change order is desperately needed, there is a $25 processing fee (other art and production fees may apply). Please make sure your P.O.’s are final before submitting.
37. I NEED TO SEND MY CONTAINERS TO YOU FOR FILLING. HOW DO I DO THAT?
Please make sure your vendor marks the box with YOUR name on it. We receive an enormous amount of stock packaging through our facilities, so it is hard to determine one customer's packaging from another. We cannot be held responsible for holding up production if we assumed your packaging was someone else’s. Please send packaging to:
